About hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses the power of suggestion to encourage positive change. It is used for various reasons but mainly used, if you want to be able to do something, you currently can’t do or stop doing something you currently do. Hypnotherapy can help you with many different aspects of your life.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a common form of complementary therapy. The process in itself is very simple and pain free. Hypnosis is usually done with the help of a hypnotherapist using verbal repetition and mental images.

The trance (see below for more explanation) is a part of the hypnotherapy proses. When activating a trance in hypnotherapy, the client becomes more responsive to any suggestions given to him/her under the hypnotherapy process. These suggestions make the change(s) in the client.

The effect of a hypnotherapy is mainly long lasting if not life long lasting. It extends to the conscious state of the mind by relaxing it, while slowly stimulating it.

Explanation of the concept of hypnotic trance

Trance is a state where your conscious mind becomes still and goes into a deep relaxation. Your subconscious mind, becomes very active at this time. I use this trance state, to offer the suggestions to my client’s subconscious mind and in this way, I change the state of the conscious mind, which takes place when, the client is awaken. To be in the state of trance is absolutely safe. While being in trance, your body feels numb and heavy, but returns to normal, once your out of hypnosis. Overall hypnosis is very dynamic and a depth orientated approach.
